We are currently recruiting for a Product Manager, this is a role which will form an essential link within the supply chain.

You will be completing the full product life cycle, sourcing, and purchasing of automotive products specifically aftermarket braking products before taking them to market.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the ability to achieve objectives through personal enthusiasm, organisation skills and a strong desire to learn.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities will involve:

Range & Data Management

  • Collecting and analysing data, measuring product performance, and taking agreed action to maximise sales, profit and stock performance.
  • Developing relationships with suppliers ensuring they understand and meet our requirements.
  • Understanding the needs of the customer and developing the product range through effective new product development.
  • Analysing price benchmarking data to validate our market competitiveness.
  • Maintenance of the electronic trading systems – ERP and cataloguing software.
  • Managing the suppliers to continually improve stock availability.
  • Managing supply chain product flow, availability, packaging, warranty issues and stock cleanses

 

 

Marketing & Communication

  • Increasing category awareness through regular contact with field sales team, presenting category updates and gathering feedback
  • Creating communication plans (PR, editorials) for all media to all audiences, internally and externally inclusive of B2B and B2C
  • Being proactive and creative in suggesting and influencing marketing and commercial initiatives to ensure product performance is continually enhanced.
  • Communicating product messages and product launches using our intranet to inform internal stakeholders.

 

Deliverables & KPI’s:

  • Delivering key projects within the business plan
  • Achieving Sales and Profit Budgets
  • Coordinating with marketing department to deliver marketing and campaign plans.

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft packages especially Excel
  • A degree in either Maths, Business, Engineering, Management or Marketing
  • Experienced in full product lifecycle within a commercial environment i.e., Engineering, Manufacturing, or aviation.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills

 

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in campaign planning & product range profiling
  • Commercial and pricing proposals
  • New product development
  • Data processing and analysis
  • Automotive knowledge
