Alliance Automotive Group are a leading distributor of light and commercial vehicle parts to the independent aftermarket in France, Germany and the UK. We service independent repairers, body shops, auto centres, fast fit companies and end consumers with parts and equipment through a network of national and regional logistics platforms as well as networks of local distributors comprising our own subsidiaries and independent affiliates.

 

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Graphic Designer to join our team on a maternity cover basis. We are looking for someone with a passion and deep interest in all things creative and design.

This key role will see you create eye-catching web, email and print campaign designs, as well to reflect the company’s goals, objectives and identity, and work with internal marketing teams to support key product brands with regular and ad-hoc promotions.

 

This person must be able to work across multiple projects across a range of brands. Working as part of the Marketing team, the person will be expected to produce project deliverables to an exceptionally high standard with guidance from our senior designers and marketing reps.

 

You will be able to demonstrate an enthusiastic, team-oriented work ethic with the flexibility and willingness to take on any task. You should display a forward-thinking, positive outlook and offer strategic creative solutions to a high finished standard. You need to have exceptional multi-tasking skills, high attention to detail, and ability to take ownership of projects from start to finish.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Applying excellent digital/graphic design skills across advertising campaigns, websites, web applications and documentation
  • Taking ownership of work, with the ability to work across various projects simultaneously, while always maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
  • Involved in all aspects of projects, from initial concepts, to the successful completion of a finished product be that online or offline
  • Liaising with suppliers and printers to ensure a high-quality finished product for printed materials, large scale graphics, merchandise etc
  • Working alongside the marketing team to promote special offers and seasonal products
  • Producing banners of various sizes for use across different company, brand and 3rd party websites
  • Creating suitable packaging templates and designs for a number of brands and products
  • Creating regular newsletters from the ground up as part of an overall marketing strategy
  • Producing digital storyboards, visuals and layouts to help communicate ideas
  • Producing and communicating a consistent stream of fresh ideas
  • Applying high levels of information technology skills in relevant design packages and hardware, including; Adobe Software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Flash) MS Office (including PowerPoint), Macs and OSX
  • Sourcing and retouching high quality and relevant imagery

 

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ professional/commercial experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Software particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and experience of web development
  • Familiarity with developing cross-browser and cross-platform solutions
  • Keen interest in emerging technologies and the Web
  • Thorough understanding of typography, colour theory, layout principles, web standards and advertising standards and their application
  • Thorough understanding of online technologies and appreciation of the differences between online and offline design
  • Acute observation and an expert eye for detail
  • Resilience to rejection and constructive criticism of creative work
  • Hands-on and 'can-do' attitude and be willing to get stuck in
  • Photography/video skills desirable
  • Animation/video editing capabilities desirable
  • Good communication and organisation skills to handle a full and varied workload
